  • CBS' The Talk's Halloween 2012 Episode

    CBS' hit daytime talk show, The Talk, selected TheatreWorld's Wonderland Gate backdrop from our ALICE IN WONDERLAND series to be the centerpiece of their 2012 Halloween episode.  Now in its third season, The Talk stars co-hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood and Aisha Tyler, well-known news and entertainment personalities who examine current events, pop culture, contemporary issues, family, celebrity and the trending topics of the day.  CBS Studio City's Art Director, Matt Tognacci, selected Wonderland Gate from which Tognacci and his team designed an elaborate set around it. “The Halloween show was a blast to design this year,” Tognacci wrote to TheatreWorld.  “Thank you so much for the beautiful backdrop!  I’m sure we’ll be talking again in the near future.”

  • Centenary Stage's THE WIZARD OF OZ

    Hackettstown, New Jersey's Centenary Stage Company kicked off the holiday season during Thanksgiving weekend 2012 with a two-week run of the beloved classic THE WIZARD OF OZ.  Employing several TheatreWorld backdrops in their presentation including our Haunted Forest and Emerald City Great Hall, this professional Equity production delighted both audiences and critics alike.  Directed by Broadway, film and television veteran, Michael Blevins, and starring a brilliant cast of professionals including Broadway vet, Colleen Smith Wallnau as Miss Gultch/Wicked Witch of the West, this enormous production featured a cast of over 50 including 24 Centenary young performers.

  • Cleveland Heights High School's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

    In November, 2012, Cleveland Heights High School in Cleveland Heights, Ohio took on the daunting challenge of producing Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.  Director Craig McGaughey selected several of TheatreWorld's Phantom backdrops including Phantom's Grotto, Battle of Hannibal, Paris Opera House Roof, and Phantom Main Drape.  Over 600 students from both Cleveland Heights High School as well as the University Heights School District took part in this production including dual casts, a student orchestra, set builders, production crew and more!  Congratulations to all involved for a spectacular production!

  • Stages Productions' SANTA'S HOLIDAY REVUE

    SANTA'S HOLIDAY REVUE. Santa’s Holiday Revue is a fun, fast-paced musical that takes a joyous tour of the dances, songs and stories from Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and many more holiday traditions from around the world. To help enhance their production and put smiles on the faces of children across the State of Florida, Stages Productions, a professional children’s theatre company, reached out to TheatreWorld to provide our Olde World Toy Shoppe backdrop which transformed any school auditorium into a toy shop fit for Santa and his Elves! 

  • Largo Cultural Center presents SEUSSICAL: THE MUSICAL, JR.

    Largo Cultural Center prides itself on enthusiastically serving the community and bringing the tradition of excellence to the arts for over ten years now. As a part of a 3-week summer day camp for beginners to advanced students of theatre, LargoArts produced SUESSICAL:THEMUSICAL, JR.to help students develop audition skills, solo and ensemble voice development, choreography, prop and scenic design. TheatreWorld was happy to be called upon to provide two of our scenic stage backdrops, including: Whoville and Truffula Tree Forest .

  • DeTour Village Players presents THE SOUND OF MUSIC

    The DeTour Village Players are continuously fulfilling their mission to provide a community theatre of a professional level to people of DeTour Village,Michigan. In the summer of 2012, their production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC looked as though they had captured scenes from the motion picture through the use of TheatreWorld Backdrops Swiss Alps and Baroque Abbey scenic stage backdrops. 

  • Dunstan Middle School presents GUYS AND DOLLS

    Dunstan Middle School's production of GUYS AND DOLLS brought the wonder of New York City Lights all the way to Lakewood, Colorado. To help convey this classic story of a bad-boy gambler who changes his ways all in the name of love, the school reached out to TheatreWorld Backdrops to provide our Vintage Times Square Scenic Backdrop. 

  • Havre de Grace High School presents ANNIE GET YOUR GUN

    Havre de Grace High School, in Havre de Grace, Maryland told the tale of famous gunslinger, Annie Oakley, and fellow sharpshooter, Frank Butler. Putting aside their competitive differences, the two fall in love. Through the use of TheatreWorld Backdrops' Buffalo Bill Presents Day Scenic Backdrop the students were able to successfully put on their show, within a show, in a way that truly “wowed!” the audience.

  • Nikoletta Events' WONDERLAND BAT MITZVAH

    Nikoletta Events is one of New York’s top new Events coordinators, emphasizing originality, elegance, and style. When called upon to create a lavish, ALICE IN WONDERLAND themed Bat Mitzvah, Nikoletta Events knew just where to turn. TheatreWorld Backdrops was happy to provide our Wonderland Gate Backdrop and our Mushroom Forest Backdrop to transform their event hall into something from the bottom of a magical rabbit hole! 

  • Snead State Community College presents GUYS AND DOLLS

    Snead State Community College presented the oddball romantic comedy, set in 1940's New York. The story of Sarah Brown, an upright and uptight “mission doll” out to reform the evil-doers and gamblers of Times Square. To enhance their production,TheatreWorld happily provided our Vintage Times Square Scenic Backdrop, as well as our East Side Street Backdrop.

  • Largo Cultural Center presents THE MUSIC MAN, JR.

    Suncoast Performing Arts Foundation Mission Statement is to support and produce the performing arts for the benefit of the Largo Cultural Center and the community it serves. As a part of a summer program, LCC came to TheatreWorld Backdrops in search of something that would  “wow” their camp-goers and audience members alike, which we are sure they did with our Stars Applique Backdrop and our American Town Square Backdrop.

  • South Point High School presents JEKYLL & HYDE

    When South Point High School came across TheatreWorld Backdrops, they were simply looking for something to set the stage for their performances of JEKYLL AND HYDE: THE MUSICAL. In using our Vintage London Skyline scenic backdrop, they not only brought their audience in rural North Carolina all the way to the streets of London, but were acknowledged by the Blumey Awards, and took the top honors in winning the Wells Fargo Best Musical Award for their outstanding set execution and lighting design. TheatreWorld was ecstatic to be even a small part of their successful show run! 

  • Port Washington High School presents YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN

    The students of Port Washington High School left their audience saying “OH! What a beautiful sight!” as they performed YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN. To help give their production that truly cartoony feel, TheatreWorld happily provided them with the Charlie Brown Blue Sky backdrop.
