Suggested Backdrops

There's no place like London... and nothing like a TheatreWorld backdrop! For the streets of London, VICTORIAN STREET WITH SNOWDUST is a dark, yet classic choice. For a seedier feel, consider OLD WORLD ALLEY--and for the early scenes, where Anthony and Sweeney first set foot in London, consider VINTAGE CITY DOCKS, complete with old-fashioned ships. Like Judge Turpin himself, the judge's home should appear upstanding, yet conceal dark secrets within. Ornate BAROQUE PARLOR, with its darker coloring, hints at something sinister. For the flashback to the ball, VICTORIAN PALACE BALLROOM is covered in drapes, perfect for hiding less savory truths. For Mrs. Lovett's bleak establishment, use VINTAGE WAREHOUSE - B--just add set pieces to create the eating area and Sweeney's famous chair. Finally, to frame your stage, consider industrial IRONWORKS HEADER and IRONWORKS LEGS or elegant VICTORIAN RUBY CURTAINS LEGS, as red as blood. No matter what you choose, your audience will surely shout, "God, That's Good!" when they see your Sweeney Todd set.
