{"id":557,"date":"2012-04-08T20:59:03","date_gmt":"2012-04-08T20:59:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.theatreworldbackdrops.com\/blog\/?p=557"},"modified":"2020-07-20T13:47:08","modified_gmt":"2020-07-20T17:47:08","slug":"les-miserables-signature-series-of-backdrops-now-in-production-available-by-april-30-for-rentals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theatreworldbackdrops.com\/blog\/2012\/04\/557\/les-miserables-signature-series-of-backdrops-now-in-production-available-by-april-30-for-rentals\/","title":{"rendered":"LES MIS\u00c9RABLES In Production"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\">LES MIS\u00c9RABLES Signature Series Of Backdrops Now In Production; Available By April 30 for Rentals<\/h1>\n<p>Since we announced them in 2011, TheatreWorld&#8217;s customers have spoken highly of our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatreworldbackdrops.com\/backdrops\/theme\/les-miserables-195\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LES MIS\u00c9RABLES backdrops<\/a>. (As have several industry reporters!) The classic Victor Hugo novel, of course, inspired this beloved musical. The initial series will consist of four themed backdrops designed to support this musical theatre spectacular.<\/p>\n<p>The sketches below are working renditions, not the final product. The actual, hand-painted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatreworldbackdrops.com\/backdrops\/old-world-tavern-interior-016-00120\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Old World Tavern\u00a0Interior<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatreworldbackdrops.com\/backdrops\/old-world-town-square-008-00290\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Old World Town Square<\/a>\u00a0are currently in production. They are scheduled for delivery by the end of April. Additionally, we created a very unique,\u00a0barricade-themed backdrop\u00a0to round out the collection. This drop will provide LES MIS\u00c9RABLES directors an easy and creative way to stage the pivotal barricade scenes. The drop is going through final pre-production modifications. It will be available for rentals by the end of May.<\/p>\n<p>The LES MIS\u00c9RABLES backdrops are new creations, designed by TheatreWorld&#8217;s creative teams. As you can tell from the sketches, we designed these backdrops very realistically. (But still added some artistic flair!) Our artists are currently painting them carefully, with special attention to colorization and audience appeal. We have scheduled two additional LES MIS\u00c9RABLES backdrops for design in the fall. We can&#8217;t wait to receive more feedback from our panel of theatrical directors. Once we have had time to evaluate customer responses to the initial series of backdrops, we will begin work on the next set.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, we will offer TheatreWorld&#8217;s LES MIS\u00c9RABLES themed backdrops\u00a0in our 40&#8242; by 18&#8242; size only. Again, customer responses and requests will dictate when and if we will offer these drops in the 25&#8242; by 15&#8242; size.<\/p>\n<h2>Using LES MIS Signature Backdrops in Other Productions<\/h2>\n<p>Furthermore, TheatreWorld recommends several of our LES MIS\u00c9RABLES backdrops for other productions. For example, these new Signature Series backdrops are suitable for a number of musical theatre productions. (Including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatreworldbackdrops.com\/backdrops\/theme\/man-of-la-mancha-246\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MAN OF LA MANCHA<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatreworldbackdrops.com\/backdrops\/theme\/fiddler-on-the-roof-193\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FIDDLER ON THE ROOF<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatreworldbackdrops.com\/backdrops\/theme\/beauty-and-the-beast-59\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BEAUTY AND THE BEAST<\/a> and more.)
