Charlene’s School of Dance: What an Extravaganza!<\/h1>\n

Charlene\u2019s School of Dance has been Spring Hill, Florida\u2019s award-winning dance studio since 1977. Charlene\u2019s School of Dance, known as C.S.O.D. by its students, has won numerous National and State award titles, including Best Technique, Best Choreography, and the most difficult to achieve, Best Emotional Execution. They are truly a\u00a0force to be reckoned with! Former students have gone on to continue their dance careers in impressive venues worldwide. C.S.O.D. alumni have performed at the world renowned Moulin Rouge in France, Busch Gardens, various cruise liners worldwide, Broadway stages, and of course, Disney World, which just reinforces the idea that \u201cdreams really do come true!\u201d<\/p>\n

TheatreWorld had the pleasure of supporting Charlene\u2019s School of Dance in their 38th<\/sup> Annual recital. \u00a0<\/strong>(Although, after attending, our associates felt more inclined to refer to the event as a \u201cDance Extravaganza\u201d! The title \u201crecital\u201d didn\u2019t do much justice\u00a0to\u00a0the amount of time and energy that was invested in the production.)\u00a0<\/strong>Hernando High School in Brooksville, Florida hosted the event, which had a “The City of Life” theme. \u00a0There seemed to be\u00a0hundreds of talented dancers, sporting thousands of sequins and performing routine after routine of intricate, crisp choreography. It\u2019s no wonder that Charlene\u2019s School of Dance stands out among the rest!<\/p>\n

Coincidentally, Charlene’s School of Dance\u00a0chose the recital theme \u201cThe City Life\u201d just as TheatreWorld began to release their highly anticipated \u201cAround the World\u201d Scenic Backdrop Collection. From China to San Juan, and from the soft sands of a tropical beach to the ruins of ancient pyramids, Charlene\u2019s School of Dance excited their audience with a production that was as diverse as TheatreWorld\u2019s ever growing collection of scenic backdrops!<\/p>\n

Charlene’s School of Dance 38th Annual Recital Highlights<\/h2>\n

Below are a few highlights of the Charlene’s School of Dance\u00a0team performing in front of a selection of TheatreWorld Backdrops.<\/p>\n

\"Professional<\/a>TROPICAL PARADISE<\/a> was the perfect backdrop\u00a0choice\u00a0to set the scene for the City of Havana!<\/p>\n

\"Professional<\/a>Our CHINESE THEATRE<\/a> backdrop towered over the youngest members of Charlene\u2019s School of Dance. Nevertheless, you couldn\u2019t miss their delightful moves!<\/p>\n

\"Professional<\/a>C.S.O.D. chose TENTE DE CIRQUE<\/a>\u00a0 to represent the City of Manhattan. In this number, dancers paid tribute to the Broadway stage.<\/p>\n

\"Professional<\/a>These adorable genies performed a number dedicated to the City of Giza. They looked great dancing in front of TheatreWorld\u2019s PYRAMIDS AT SUNSET<\/a> backdrop.<\/p>\n

\"Professional<\/a>MEDITERRANEAN COURTYARD<\/a>\u00a0was the ideal\u00a0choice to represent a quaint Italian town. Charlene’s School of Dance’s\u00a0more seasoned dancers delighted audiences and highlighted the City of Rome.<\/p>\n

Similarly, the\u00a0VICTORIAN PARK<\/a> backdrop, with its blooming cherry blossoms, was the perfect choice\u00a0to highlight\u00a0Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

Next, Charlene\u2019s School of Dance selected the AGRABAH MARKETPLACE<\/a> backdrop to represent the ancient City of Istanbul.<\/p>\n

\"Professional<\/a>Finally, for a specialty competition piece, the team at Charlene’s School of Dance chose our ROSE TERRACE<\/a>\u00a0 backdrop.<\/p>\n

Even after producing an incredible \u201cDance Extravaganza,\u201d Ms. Charlene, of Charlene\u2019s School of Dance<\/a> continues to work as she presents awards to students and teachers. \u00a0Great job by all!<\/p>\n
