For the benefit of both your organization and your event, please familiarize yourself
with the following TheatreWorld Backdrops rental information. Doing so will ensure
the most successful rental experience for you by ensuring that you not only enjoy
the finest quality backdrops available, but also that you do so in the most cost-effective
manner possible.

If you have already reserved your backdrop(s) or drapery product(s) for your event,
the following was provided and agreed to by you when you placed your order. If you
have not placed your order, please review below and have the information available.
WITHOUT RECEIVING ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION FROM YOU, WE CANNOT PROCESS YOUR
RESERVATION.
RENTAL AGREEMENT. An
An authorized representative from your organization must read, agree to, and execute
the standard TheatreWorld Backdrops rental agreement and submit it electronically
online as part of our web site checkout process. Please call for options other than

RENTAL PAYMENT. In order
to confirm your reservation, we require a non-refundable $50.00 deposit per item
and executed rental agreement. We accept reservations up to 18 months in advance.
We accept all payments by E-check, debit card, or credit card: VISA, MASTERCARD,
AMERICAN EXPRESS, or DISCOVER. If your organization requires the use of Purchase
Orders, please call us.
RENTAL SHIPMENT. TheatreWorld
will ship all items via UPS or FedEx ground, unless otherwise specified by The Customer.
TheatreWorld shipping charges include: product shipping to The Customer and The
Customer returning the Product to TheatreWorld via UPS or FedEx ground using provided labeling;
insurance covers the Product replacement or repair only should the Product be damaged
or destroyed by UPS or FedEx. TheatreWorld will ship to The Customer with Federal Express
provided that The Customer has an existing account with the carrier and provides
Product damage insurance. The Customer agrees to provide TheatreWorld with the name
of the person or shipping agent who will receive your order and the exact address
where the order will be accepted. The Customer is also responsible for returning
the Product back to TheatreWorld by The Customer’s Contract Return Date. All return
shipments must be returned to TheatreWorld Backdrops, 13046 Race Track Road, Suite
253, Tampa, Florida 33626.
RENTAL LATE RETURNS.If The Customer returns the Product to TheatreWorld after the
Return Date specified on the order, The Customer agrees to pay TheatreWorld a late
fee of Seventy-Five Dollars ($75.00) per day, per item, until the Product is received
by TheatreWorld.
RENTAL CANCELLATION.The Customer agrees and understands that the $50.00 Reservation
Fee per item used to confirm The Customer’s Product order(s) is non-refundable.
For any orderthat is cancelled two (2) business days or less prior to the Scheduled
Date of Shipment, The Customer acknowledges and agrees that the full Rental Fee
will be forfeited. Should The Customer cancel an order not less than two
(2) days prior to Scheduled Date of Shipment, a refund will be applied to the credit
card that was originally provided minus the non-refundable Reservation Fee per item.
If payment was made other than using a credit card, a refund will be issued as outlined
above using a TheatreWorld company check and mailed to The Customer.
RENTAL LATE RETURNS.
TheatreWorld’s product rentals are in high demand. We have promised other customers
these same items for their special event. and is therefore extremely important that
the products be returned as stated in the Rental Agreement. PLEASE NOTE: If for
any reason the products are not received as agreed to in the Rental Agreement, you
will be invoiced 30% of the rental fee for each item for each day late until item(s)
are received in our warehouse. In addition, any freight upgrades necessary to expedite
the item(s) to the next rental customer will be charged to your account.
RENTAL CANCELLATION.
TheatreWorld understands that sometimes plans may change and we want to be as flexible
as possible. A reservation may be cancelled up to 10 days prior to the scheduled
shipment date without any additional charge. However the $50.00 prepayment per item
used to confirm your reservation is non-refundable. If paying under Net 30 terms,
you will be billed $50.00 per item if the order is cancelled within 10 business
days of your scheduled shipment. For any order that is cancelled two business days
or less from the scheduled ship date, you will be billed for the entire rental amount.
TheatreWorld Backdrops is very proud of not only the quality of our backdrop and
drapery designs, but also the handling care and maintenance that goes into every
drop, every rental, every time. After each rental return, our backdrops are carefully
inspected to assign a Backdrop Condition Status between 1 and 5 and to assess when
repairs may be needed. This Backdrop Condition Status is very important as it accurately
depicts to you, our Customer, the quality of the backdrop or drapery product you
are considering renting. See grading system detail.
5. Backdrop is new or
in like-new condition. Drop has either not yet been rented or rented only a few
times. Drop has never been in need of repairs. Drop is useable for all venues.
4. Backdrop is in newer
condition. Item has been rented and returned with slight wear. May include minor
cracking of the paint areas or has minor fade to digitally-printed areas. Drop is
useable for all venues.
3. . Backdrop that has
been rented and returned with standard wear associated with medium cracking of the
paint or some fading to digitally-printed areas throughout the backdrop. Useable
for most venues. Can be improved with proper lighting.
2. Backdrop that has
been rented multiple times and returned with standard wear associated with medium
cracking of the paint throughout along with some heavy cracking in dark areas. Will
have some fading to digitally-printed areas. Useable for some venues. Can be improved
with proper lighting. Backdrops with this rating no longer meet TheatreWorld’s quality
standards and have been removed from rental inventory. Available for discount purchase.
1. Backdrop that has
been rented multiple times and returned with heavy wear associated with heavy cracking
of the paint throughout. Contains fading in the design. Useable for some venues.
Can be improved with proper lighting. Backdrops with this rating have been removed
from rental inventory. Available for discount purchase.
TheatreWorld offers its customers a detailed document regarding proper backdrop handling,
unpacking, hanging, re-packing,etc.,not only to ensure that the backdrop is displayed
in its optimal condition for your event, but also to avoid accidentally damaging
the drop and incurring additional fees.Return shipping labels are also included
in your package to simplify event logistics.

Who is TheatreWorld Backdrops and why should I consider them?
TheatreWorld Backdrops was created as an extension of Salerno Entertainment Group,
Inc. to not only assist with our in-house and touring productions, but more globally,
to help simplify the inherent challenges, costs, schedules, and production elements
present in all staged and/or live events. TheatreWorld Backdrops’ staff, associates,
and artists have decades of experience in the professional live theatre, entertainment,
and event arenas. Our team includes planners, producers, directors, scenic artists,
entertainers, technical teams, and the like. Supporting our Florida-based staff,
is a world-wide group of associates including some of the best artists, computer
graphics, and illustrators available today. Our goal is to build ongoing relationships
with our customers and provide them with the finest quality backdrop/graphic designs
in the most cost-effective fashion for all of their productions.
Why should I consider using a backdrop for my event?
A backdrop can be the final element to bring your event to life in the grandest
way possible, to enhance event décor, drive home your event theme and provide a
visual impact statement making your event truly unforgettable. Backdrops can also
replace the need and expense of multiple set pieces and props since they enhance
your event or theme on a grand scale.
What types of backdrops does TheatreWorld offer?
TheatreWorld offers a broad spectrum of backdrops and graphics designed to accommodate
diverse high quality productions: theatres, schools, corporate event planners, cruise
ship entertainment directors, and the like. We feature a rapidly growing selection
of drapery products that have been directly inspired not only by Broadway, National
Tour, and London West End productions but also by a wide variety of popular, world-class
entertainment venues such as Las Vegas, Branson, etc. While our primary products
are full backdrops, we also offer a growing selection of backdrop panels, rain curtains,
scrims,and projectable images.
What are your rental rates?
TheatreWorld’s rental rates vary based on the size of the rented product. While
we do carry a number of specialty items with varying costs, our standard backdrop
products come in sizes that range from 12’ wide x 10’ high to 40’ wide x 18’ high.
Weekly rental prices range from $99.00 to $600.00.
What is your standard rental week?
TheatreWorld is intimately familiar with the constraints and pressures of the industry
and therefore guarantees that you will receive your backdrop(s) no later than Monday
of your tech week/first performance week. You would then be responsible to ship
the backdrop back to us the Monday post your event. In short, a rental week is Monday
to Sunday. That said, as we understand the need to receive backdrops on time, we
always prefer to ship your backdrop early whenever possible. Of course, you would
never be charged any additional fees for receiving your backdrop early.
Should I rent or purchase a backdrop?
The length of your event, your available budget, and the number of times you plan
on using the backdrop in the future all factor into the decision as to whether to
rent or purchase. As we are primarily interested in building ongoing relationships
with our customers, one of our backdrop specialists would be more than happy to
help you determine the best possible option based on your current and future needs.
How are your backdrops painted?
Depending on the style of the particular drop in question, backdrops are either
hand painted or painted using airbrush technique.
Do you have backdrops that are printed digitally?
Yes. Many of our backdrop products are available in digital print in addition to
the hand painted and airbrush technique.Digital is recommended when precise images
are required, i.e., Corporate or product logos.
Do your backdrops come in a variety of sizes?
Yes. We can create a backdrop of any size to your exact specifications on a custom
order. However, our standard sizes are: 12’ wide x 10’ high, 25’ wide x 15’ high
and 40’ wide x 18’ high.
Can a backdrop only be used at the exact size of the drop?
Not at all. Every backdrop, scrim, rain curtain, and drapery item that TheatreWorld
either rents or sells are soft goods. The material can be folded or rolled from
the sides, top, or bottom to fit the exact size of your venue provided you have
selected a product that is larger than your space.
What kind of material are your backdrops made out of?
All of TheatreWorld’s hand painted or airbrushed backdrops are made out of a muslin
material. Digitally printed backdrop products are printed on a lightweight coated
poly fabric. To be sure which material your selected backdrop has been created on,
please refer to the description of the drapery item you are selecting.
Our group uses projection equipment in lieu of backdrops. Do
you have projection products available?
Yes, we do. Most of our backdrops available for rent also have corresponding large,
high definition (600 dpi or higher) graphical images that are available for purchase
either individually or as part of an entire show package for a fraction of the cost
of a traditional rented material backdrop. Please visit the Projection Alternatives

Are your products flame retardant/resistant?
Yes, all backdrops and drapery that TheatreWorld rents and/or makes available for
purchase are flame retardant, unless specifically marked to the contrary. TheatreWorld
is an authorized applicator of FIREZOFF, a class A, environmentally-friendly retardant.
All our muslin drops are treated by our team at our facility www.firezoff.com. Digital
poly fabric drops are treated by the manufacturer.
